20seconds to produce
results for one patient

Diagnostic testing has become much more complex and time consuming. To effectively diagnose, monitor and treat many common diseases, doctors often require information about multiple biomarkers. For example, doctors commonly request a test panel of nine biomarkers to assist in the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome, a cause of thrombosis. It may take an average of 36 minutes of hands-on time per patient for a laboratory technician to run these tests manually. SQI’s multiplex test panel for antiphospholipid syndrome run on SQiDworks™ can provide 2,050 biomarker results for 228 patients in the same 36 minutes of hands-on time.

70%savings to
laboratories

Laboratories are demanding automated solutions that can perform multiple biomarker tests efficiently, at high volumes and using minimal technician labour. SQI Diagnostics is focused on addressing this demand with its proprietary automated platform and test menu, which are designed to deliver patient results faster using less labour and fewer resources. SQI estimates that its automated platforms could provide more than 70% labour and reagent savings to laboratories currently using manual processes.

6.2biomarker tests per
disease indication (avg)

Biomarkers dominate medical diagnostics and are used in over 80% of laboratory diagnostic tests to determine the presence and severity of medical conditions. On average, each indication requires 6.2 biomarker representing a significant market opportunity. SQI Diagnostics fully-automated system can save laboratories time and money while also improving accuracy.

SQI ProductsSQI Diagnostics' initial products target the $1.4 billion autoimmune disease market.

SQIDworksSQIDworks™
A fully-automated fluidics workstation, scanner and analytical device used to process SQI Diagnostics' proprietary QuantiSpot™ microarray tests. The robotic platform fully integrates all assay steps for hands-free work-flow and is compatible with standard lab automation systems. The 'load and go' platform is capable of processing up to 240 patient samples per run and, when combined with the Company's QuantiSpot ™ multiplexed tests, can produce quantified determinations for up to 960 individual test results

QuantiSpotQuantiSpot™
SQI is advancing a broad menu of QuantiSpot™ microarray consumables that operate on the SQiDworks workstation. Each QuantiSpot™ consumable can serve up to 76 patients and produce more than 1000 biomarker results per consumable. Each well in the QuantiSpot™ plate can test 12 individual biomarkers quantitatively or 24 biomarkers qualitatively for a single patient. SQI's lead product tests for biomarkers related to Rheumatoid Arthritis – additional products are being developed for a range of autoimmune, infectious disease and allergen applications.
